DLaTGS–based Pyroelectric Detectors
For many years, Microwatt Applications, LLC has been manufacturing DLaTGS-based pyroelectric detectors which makes the company part of a very exclusive circle of manufacturers.

Managing director Alan Doctor is a pioneer of this technology. For decades he has been successfully developing concepts to reduce microphony in pyroelectric detectors and for current operation with integrated operational amplifier. Since 2005 these concepts are available on the market and have significantly contributed to a global market growth.

With the LASER COMPONENTS Pyro Group the LC Group has opened a new chapter in its comprehensive IR activities that go back as far as 1982.

Microwatt manufactures pyroelectric detectors based on LiTaO3 for industrial gas analysis, medical technology, flame recognition, and process control and pyroelectric detectors based on DLaTGS as the sensing material used in premium applications such as FTIR spectrometers and THz which are gaining in importance in the market place.
